Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about publishing your content on Latinhub.TV, earning from it, and staying in control.

Why Latinhub.TV?

I’m already on YouTube. Why would I publish on Latinhub.TV?

Keep YouTube. Latinhub.TV is non-exclusive and is designed to earn you more on top of YouTube, from audiences and screens YouTube doesn't monetize for you:

  • U.S. TV audiences, sold at connected-TV rates. Spanish-language content on YouTube earns little per view because much of the audience is in lower-paying markets. On Latinhub.TV, your U.S. viewers watch on TV and ads are sold to reach U.S. Hispanic audiences.
  • In-store screens in retailers that serve the Latino market.
  • Pay-per-view for specials, events and long interviews, which YouTube doesn't offer.
  • A richer subscription pool. Half of every net subscription goes to creators, and every paying subscriber counts equally.
How is Latinhub.TV’s subscription share different from YouTube Premium’s?

We put 50% of net subscription revenue into the creator pool, and each subscriber's share goes only to the creators that subscriber watched. Short content that many people watch earns as much as long content.

How much will I earn?

It depends on how many hours people watch your content, and on how much of the ad inventory is sold. New channels usually start with fewer sold ads, and earnings grow as viewing hours grow. Your dashboard shows your earnings per title and per model, so you can compare them with your own YouTube Studio numbers.

Why can’t free viewers skip ads?

Free viewers watch from the beginning, without skipping, with about one minute of ads every five minutes, like traditional TV. That is why each viewing hour earns more. Viewers who want no ads can subscribe to Premium for US$4.95/month.

Getting started

What is Latinhub.TV?

Latinhub.TV is a streaming and media network for the Hispanic community. Your content can reach viewers on our Roku channel and other connected-TV (OTT) platforms, on latinhub.tv and our mobile app, and on in-store screens (DOOH) at retailers serving the Latino market in the United States and Mexico.

Who can publish on Latinhub.TV?

Independent producers, creators, studios and media companies that own their content or are fully authorized to license it. This includes music, series, shows, microdramas, short films, comedy, sports, news and more.

How do I sign up?

Register as a Content Provider in our dashboard at dashboard.latinhub.tv and accept the Content Distribution Agreement there. From the dashboard you upload your content, choose how each title is monetized, see your reports, and receive your payouts.

Does it cost anything to join?

No. There are no fees to register, upload or publish.

Do I have to deliver a minimum amount of content?

No. There are no minimum volumes, schedules or deadlines. You publish what you want, when you want.

How fast is my content published?

We review each upload within 3 business days. Once approved, it's published immediately. We may reject content for any reason — if we do, you receive an email with the reason so you can adjust and resubmit.

What formats do you accept?

MP4 video (H.264, 1080p preferred, 720p minimum) with AAC stereo audio. Horizontal 16:9 is preferred, but vertical content is welcome, and we adapt it for TV screens. Live programming can be delivered via RTMPS or HLS. Full specifications are in the dashboard.

Do I need to add subtitles?

No. The dashboard automatically generates Spanish and English captions, so your content also reaches English-speaking audiences in the US. You can upload your own SRT or VTT files if you prefer.

Where is my content available?

Our streaming properties are available in the US, Mexico and other countries in Latin America and the rest of the world. In-store screens are in the US and Mexico. You can exclude any country for any title from the dashboard.

Rights and image

Do I give up the rights to my content?

No. You keep full ownership of your content, your brand and your likeness. You grant Latinhub.TV a non-exclusive license to distribute your content on our network while the agreement is active.

How will you use my name and image?

Only to identify your content on the platform (thumbnails, channel tiles, program guide) and to promote its availability on Latinhub.TV, across Roku, web, app, in-store screens, our social media and jointly approved press releases. This use is included in the revenue share and carries no separate fee. The first use of each type of promotional material is sent to you for approval in the dashboard.

Will you use my image in ads, or create an AI version of me?

No, not without a separate agreement with you. We cannot use your name, image or voice to endorse advertisers, create AI digital twins or voice clones, train AI models on your likeness, or make merchandise.

What if a brand wants to work with me?

If an advertiser on our network wants to hire you for mentions, integrations, appearances or campaigns, that is negotiated separately, with its own fee for you, on top of your revenue share.

What about people who appear in my videos?

You are responsible for having releases from everyone identifiable in your content, including members of the public and guests. For minors, you need consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Can I use music from TikTok, Instagram or music libraries?

Be careful. Many social-media sound and music-library licenses do not cover TV, streaming or in-store exhibition. All music in your content must be licensed for these uses.

Exclusivity

Is the agreement exclusive?

No. You can keep publishing on YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and anywhere else, and license your content to other platforms. Exclusivity only applies to co-productions with Latinhub.TV or when both sides agree to it.

Earning money

How do I earn?

Latinhub.TV has three monetization models, and you choose which ones apply to each title in the dashboard:

  • Free with ads (FAST): you receive 50% of net advertising revenue.
  • Premium Subscription (US$4.95/month, ad-free): you receive a share of subscription revenue based on the subscribers who watch your content.
  • Pay-per-view (PPV): you receive 50% of net revenue from each purchase.

In every model, "net" means gross revenue minus the third-party deductions explained below. We never deduct our own overhead or operating costs.

How does ad revenue work?

On Roku, Roku keeps 3 of every 10 ad slots. On in-store screens, the retailer keeps 2 of every 10 for its own ads. We sell the rest. You receive 50% of net ad revenue (55% if you're an Anchor Partner). Net means:

  • Ads we sell directly: no deductions except payment processing.
  • Ads sold through an agency: the agency's commission is deducted, up to 15%.

Example on US$1,000 in ads sold:

  • In-house sale: you receive US$500 (US$550 as an Anchor Partner).
  • Agency sale: you receive US$425 (US$467.50 as an Anchor Partner).
What if I bring my own advertiser?

No agency commission is deducted, and you also receive a 15% sales commission on top of your share. On US$1,000, you receive US$650 (US$700 as an Anchor Partner).

Can I earn more by bringing my own audience?

Yes. Your dashboard gives you a personal code, link and QR code:

  • Subscribers you bring: you receive 70% of net subscription revenue from each one for their first 12 months.
  • PPV purchases through your link: you receive 70% of the net revenue instead of 50%.

You can also offer your YouTube members or followers the promotions available in your dashboard.

What is the Anchor Partner Program?

Creators who average US$1,000 or more per month in earnings over a quarter become Anchor Partners for the next quarter. Anchor Partners receive 55% of net ad revenue instead of 50%, a dedicated partner manager, and audit rights. Your status is updated every quarter and shown in your dashboard.

How can I verify my numbers?

Your dashboard shows the details behind every payment: impressions, fill rate, CPMs, each deduction and each campaign. If something looks wrong, you can dispute a statement from the dashboard within 90 days. We reply within 30 days with the supporting detail and correct any error in your next payment. Anchor Partners can also request an independent audit, at their own expense, if a significant difference remains unresolved.

Can I share my Latinhub.TV numbers publicly?

Yes. You can share your own stats and earnings, for example in your media kit. You can't share other creators' data or network-wide data.

How long does it take to review my upload?

We review each title within 3 business days of your upload. Once approved, it's published immediately. We may reject content for any reason; when we do, you get an email with the reason and the dashboard shows the same detail so you can adjust and resubmit.

How does subscription revenue work?

We use a user-centric model, so every paying subscriber counts equally. Half of each subscriber's net monthly payment is shared among the creators that subscriber actually watched, in proportion to how much time they spent on each one's content. A view counts once someone watches a title for at least 60 seconds (or the whole title, if shorter).

Subscriber share = 50% × (US$4.95 − payment-platform fee)
Your share = Sum over each subscriber of [Subscriber share × (time spent on your content ÷ that subscriber's total viewing time)]

Example (assuming a 30% platform fee): each subscriber's share is about US$1.73. If 1,000 subscribers each spend half of their viewing time on your content, you receive 1,000 × US$1.73 × 50% = US$866.25 for the month.

This means one viewer watching hours of long content can never generate more than one subscription, while content that many subscribers watch earns accordingly.

How does pay-per-view work?

The price is agreed together in the dashboard (currently US$1.99–3.99 per title).

Your share = 50% × (Gross PPV sales − Payment-platform fee)

Example (assuming a 30% platform fee): 1,000 purchases × US$2.99 = US$2,990 − US$897 = US$2,093 net → US$1,046.50 for you.

What is the payment-platform fee?

Subscriptions and PPV purchased inside the Roku channel or our mobile apps are processed by those platforms' in-app purchase systems (Roku Pay, Apple App Store, Google Play), which charge a percentage of each payment. Purchases made directly on latinhub.tv only carry card processing fees. The actual fee charged on each payment is what gets deducted.

When and how do I get paid?

Monthly, within 30 days after the end of the month in which we receive the revenue from advertisers and platforms. Payment is in U.S. dollars, to the payout account you register in the dashboard. Balances under US$100 roll over to the next month.

What about taxes?

You submit your tax form in the dashboard: W-9 if you are a US person, or W-8BEN / W-8BEN-E if you are outside the US (this is where you can claim tax-treaty benefits). We withhold only what the law requires and post the withholding statements in your dashboard.

Where can I see my numbers?

In the dashboard: views and impressions per title, CPMs, fill rate, each deduction by campaign and how each ad was sold, subscribers reached and their viewing time, referred subscribers and PPV purchases, your share by model, and your Anchor Partner status.

Are there advances or guaranteed minimums?

No. The revenue share is the only compensation, with no advances, minimum guarantees or fees.

Staying in control

Can I remove my content?

Yes, at any time and without giving a reason, directly from the dashboard. Removal takes effect as soon as you save it. Viewers who already bought a PPV title keep access until their purchase window ends.

Can I change how a title is monetized?

Yes. Switch any title between free with ads, Premium and PPV in the dashboard at any time.

Can I block certain advertisers?

Yes. Ads that reference or target you without authorization are never allowed, and you can designate direct competitors of your sponsors in the dashboard so they don't run against your content.

Will advertisers influence my content?

No. Ads only run in breaks or in formats that don't cover your content, and Premium subscribers see no ads at all. Neither we nor any advertiser can direct or approve your editorial content.

Will you edit my content?

No. We only make technical adjustments needed for exhibition (format, audio levels, fitting vertical content to TV screens, ad break points at natural pauses). We create promotional clips of up to 60 seconds. Any other repackaging, and any voice dubbing, requires your approval in the dashboard.

Contract terms

How long is the agreement?

12 months, renewing automatically.

How do I get out?

Either side can terminate without cause with 30 days' notice through the dashboard.

Do I need insurance?

Only if your earnings exceed US$2,500 in 12 months, or for certain live or PPV events. Otherwise, no.

What law governs the agreement?

The laws of Texas. Disputes are resolved by arbitration in Austin, which can be held by videoconference.

How do I get support?

Through the dashboard at dashboard.latinhub.tv, where all requests, approvals and notices are handled. Anchor Partners also have a dedicated partner manager.
